Allowing / blocking specific AI assistants

CiteON allows you to control which AI assistants can access your llms.txt and llms-full.txt files. This helps you decide which AI platforms can read and use your store data when generating answers.

AI assistant access​

In the AI assistant access section, you can allow or block specific AI assistants.

Available options:

  • ChatGPT
  • Claude
  • Gemini
  • Perplexity

Simply check the box next to the AI assistants you want to allow. Unchecked assistants will be blocked from accessing the files.

How it works​

When an AI assistant is allowed, CiteON will let that assistant access your LLMs files. This means the AI can read the structured content and use it when generating answers about your store.

If an assistant is blocked, access will be restricted, preventing that AI from using your store's LLMs data.

When should you block an assistant?​

You may want to block certain AI assistants if:

  • You only want to prioritize specific AI platforms
  • You want to limit which services can access your store data
  • You are testing different AI discovery strategies

You can change these settings anytime from the LLMs Configuration menu.
